How is highlife doing?
It’s very unfortunate how we have turned highlife into afrobeat now we have lost our identity as Ghanaians because of afrobeat, music awards schemes now award afrobeat musicians in exchange of highlife artistes and it’s so sad. Kumi Guitar further reiterated that Nigeria music is gradually taking over our music industry. He further explained that gone were the days when Nigeria comes to mind whenever scam was mentioned, but the narrative has changed. Now whenever Nigeria is mentioned, what comes to mind is “music”, he added.
