New video shows frantic chase and arrest of Milwaukee suspect

The 33-year-old vehicle designer was charged with six counts of first-degree reckless injury after the reckless street racing that he allegedly took part in left six people injured.

As described by the Waukesha County DA’s office:

On Saturday, February 24, David S. Beerbohm was driving a motorized scooter. Beerbohm was driving near 10th and George Streets. An alleged car driven by Darrell J. Brooks entered the intersection and collided into Beerbohm’s scooter. Beerbohm was transported to a hospital and later transferred to Froedtert Hospital. He is in stable condition and recovering from surgery. The driver of the car left the scene. Brooks was driving a dark colored four-door sedan. Brooks was a passenger and fled the scene after the crash. Brooks was arrested several hours later.

Michael D. Beverley, the adult driver of the vehicle, was also charged with charges of fleeing/eluding an officer causing injury.

Brooks was released on $75,000 cash bond Saturday afternoon, and is scheduled to be in court Tuesday.
