Watch Tiger Woods’ first competitive video since his car accident

The first video of Tiger Woods back in competitive action since his devastating car accident in February is now online. The golfer, who was seated on a stool in a dark garage-like setting, posted a short clip of himself hitting what appeared to be a drive, much like the drives that he is famous for on the golf course. Woods captioned the video, posted on his official Facebook page: “Stoked to be in competition again.”

Woods only recently returned to competition after months of recovering from leg surgery and his appearance this week as a contestant on the reality show “Dancing With the Stars” came to an abrupt end after just one performance, just two weeks before the season finale. His ensuing rehabilitation has been relentless, and it’s expected that Woods will be back to his best when the PGA Tour returns to action after the U.S. Open in July. After missing the cut at the U.S. Open, Woods told reporters that he would play in a few PGA Tour events before the next major, before he takes his full-time hiatus until at least after the 2020 Open Championship.
